1. Modi’s visit to the UAE shows strengthening relations

Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s third visit to the UAE in four years has shown to be an affirmation of the close relationship between the two countries, and its constant growth. Mr Modi is due in the Emirates on Friday when he will receive the Order of Zayed, the UAE’s highest civil decoration, in recognition of his role in nurturing ties between the two countries since 2015, when he became the first Indian prime minister to visit the UAE in 34 years. This is a sign that the UAE values India’s response and is looking to maintain a strong relationship.

The visit of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to the UAE in 2015 gave a stimulus to the bilateral relationship, and the brotherly relationship between Shaikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Prime Minister Modi is well known and with the re-election of Prime Minister Modi, this golden era of UAE-India relationship is set to continue. The basis of this bright future is the buyer-seller relationship between India and UAE in the energy sector which has given way to a multifaceted strategic interdependence partnership.
